Chateau Cap Leon Veyrin

Meyre family has managed the Chateau since 1810 when the Chateau Lon and Domaine de Veyrin were merged. Actually, Alain and Maryse Meyre run the Chateau together with their children Julien and Nathalie.

Chateau Cap Leon Veyrin is together with Chateau Julien and Chateau Bibian part of Vignobles Alain Meyre, which covers 50 hectares of vineyards in the AOC Listrac-Mdoc and Haut-Medoc.

The main varieties are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Wines are aged in oak barells for at least 12 months.

Chateau Cap Leon Veyrin (AOC Listrac-Medoc Cru Bourgeois)

Ruby red wine with aromas of red fruit, cassis and blackberries with notes of vanilla and liquorice.

Grapes from 30 years old vineyard are harvested manually and also by machine. Wine is made from varieties: 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot.

Yearly production is about 50 000 bottles.

The wine ages very well for long time.

Les Hauts de Veyrin

Red wine made from selection of grapes from Chateau Cap Lon Veyrin. It is young wine with aromas of fruits.

Used grape varieties are: 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. There are produced 40 000 bottles per year.
